This Privacy Policy describes how ConnectiveView Advisory LLC ("ConnectiveView," "we," "us," or "our"), operating as Porchlight, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our booking and guest experience platform at porchlight.connectiveview.com ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when using Porchlight:
- Booking information: name, email address, phone number, check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, and special requests provided through the booking widget.
- Account information: name and email address when property owners create a Porchlight account.
- Payment information: payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: messages sent through the booking widget, SMS text messages, and emails exchanged between guests and property hosts.
We also collect certain information automatically:
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions with the booking widget.
- Device information: browser type, operating system, and IP address.
- Cookies: session cookies for authentication and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and manage booking requests between guests and property owners.
- Send booking confirmations, payment links, check-in instructions, and other transactional communications via email and SMS.
- Provide guest support and facilitate communication between guests and hosts.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
3. SMS/Text Messaging
By providing your phone number through the Porchlight booking widget, you consent to receive SMS text messages related to your booking. These messages may include booking confirmations, payment links, check-in and check-out instructions, property information, and guest support communications. Messages are sent by Porchlight on behalf of the vacation rental property you are booking with.
- Message frequency varies based on your booking activity.
- Standard message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time.
- Reply HELP for assistance.
- Consent to receive text messages is not required to complete a booking.
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. Third-Party Services
Porchlight integrates with the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each service processes data according to its own privacy policy:
- Stripe: payment processing. Stripe collects and stores payment card information directly. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Supabase: database hosting and storage for booking records, guest information, and conversation history.
- Clerk: authentication for property owner accounts.
- Telnyx: SMS text message delivery for booking-related communications.
- Resend: transactional email delivery for booking confirmations, payment links, and host notifications.
- Anthropic: AI-powered booking assistant that helps guests with property questions and booking collection.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With property owners: guest booking details, contact information, and messages are shared with the property owner you are booking with so they can fulfill your reservation.
- With service providers: the third-party services listed above, solely to operate the platform.
- As required by law: when necessary to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
6. Data Retention
We retain booking records and guest information for as long as needed to provide the Service and fulfill our obligations to property owners. Conversation history is retained to support ongoing guest communication and dispute resolution. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure credential storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Porchlight is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
